Children’s Books
Fiona Loves Fashion
As climate change and land pollution becomes a global crisis, resources as to how the average individual can make an impact is hard to find. Mass consumption of fast fashion brands is controversial on multiple levels throughout the production pipeline. With the rapid growing rate of viral fashion trends on social media and its accessible prices, fast fashion has boomed within the last 20 years, becoming one of the root causes for environmental pollution. As a consumer who is also trying to decrease their ecological footprint, I’ve found little information in mainstream media about fast fashion’s environmental impact. I would like to be able to spread the research I have on the topic to a wider audience that is not bound to a specific demographic. Forming this serious conversation into a children’s book makes the content more approachable and accessible. It is something that both children and adults can learn from through story time together. Although fast fashion is targeted toward a specific demographic, our current environmental crisis is not.

Don’t Draw On Your Homework!
Don’t Draw On Your Homework! is a children’s book based on my childhood and discovering how I wanted to be an artist. The story is told through Connor, a young boy who dreams of being a great artist, but the one problem is that his biggest critics live under the same roof as him. He learns about different art media and styles in hopes to find one that his parents will enjoy. Don’t Draw On Your Homework! is relatable for art students trying to or have already found their voice and is a story to encourage children to express their individual creativity, and hopefully gain the support of parents along the way.
